A Book Cover Is Born!
It's all come together. The stars have aligned and the axis is exact.
Chasing the Butterfly has a face and now I can smile along with it.
It's a funny thing to write a book--revise, edit, revise, edit...
And in the process, you talk with your characters in the shower and while you're on long walks with the dog. They converse with you at mealtime and over a glass of wine. Then, at day's end, they slip into your dreams, only to wake you in the morning.
All the while, the settings evolve--each sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch becomes defined and etched into memory. Staring at a sunset, gazing out the car window, sipping coffee in a cafe--suddenly you find yourself transported to another place. And, because of the butterfly, I am carried away to France. Sometimes Paris. Often times, Provence.
So, a monumental point on this literary journey has been reached. The publisher, artist, and author have blended their visions on the same palette to create a beautiful representation of the story.
The main character, Ella Moreau, may discover more than she ever imagined as she chases the butterfly. And where that journey may lead her...
